In the days leading up to trying Caramel Vanilla from Goodejuice I was vaping on a Vanilla Custard. I generally lean towards the smoother flavors vs. the really fruity/candy flavors, so it seemed like a good option for me. First impression – didn’t like it, but luckily that is not where this story ends. The last drop of a 30 ml bottle just left my cotton, and I’m getting ready for a reorder.
Before we get too deep into this, let me run through the delivery mechanism. I’ve got an all copper FUhattan with a Magma RDA. The coils are ? parallel using 28 gauge kanthal. Outcome is solid production, not clouds, but my goal is great flavor with a satisfying hit.
Unlike a lot of juice makers, Goodejuice may not have the super sexy bottle. It’s straight forward with the company logo, nic level (12 mg in this case) clearly indicated, followed by ingredients (PG, VG, nic, and flavoring). No indication of the PG/VG ratio. The site doesn’t give much more insight into that either but do state that it is “USA Lab made” with all ingredients sourced from the US and made in a FDA approved lab.
Flavor & Taste
So as mentioned above, this wasn’t my favorite flavor initially, but it certainly grew on me. I’m not sure if it was the contrast between the vanilla custard I had immediately before it, or the fact that it was a fresh bottle, but the flavor was really strong initially. After letting it steep a week or so, and vaping on a straight ahead NET tobacco juice for a bit, I circled back to Caramel Vanilla for something a bit more interesting. I’m glad I did.
The flavor of this juice is definitely stronger than I was expecting. It reminds me of an old time butterscotch candy, so much so that I went and looked up what the ingredients are in butterscotch and found out that although the primary ingredients are brown sugar and butter, other common ingredients include creme and vanilla. I knew I wasn’t losing my mind!
I was surprised with the strong flavor that it would turn into an ADV for me. I typically get sick of sweet strong juices quickly, but with the richness of the flavor it stayed in my vape for a solid week. By the end of one bottle I was ready for a break, but am already getting the itch for some more.
After being on a juice heavy on the VG side, the throat hit from Caramel Vanilla was definitely noticeable, though I wouldn’t say it is overpowering.
Goodejuice is rather thin in general, which typically means that it has a fair share of PG vs thicker VG which generates more vapor. That said, I had no problem getting great production out of this.
Caramel Vanilla is a little dark in color. In my experience darker liquids tend to get more gook on the coils, even after only a day or two vaping. That wasn’t the case here. I vaped on Caramel Vanilla for about a week, and after 30 mills there was barely any noticeable barnacles.
If I didn’t give this juice a second try this review would have gone a completely different direction. Perhaps it was the transition from the previous flavor to this one, or maybe it just had to steep a while, but in the end this juice is a winner in book. The flavor is strong, and sweet, but rich at the same time giving it a good balance that doesn’t just allow you to vape all day on it, but gladly finish the bottle.
